Something threw me off today.
I needed a nap, other people were being other people (AKA NOT ME) and I could feel the childhood panic starting in my bones. But before it worked its way to my needy-skin and fire-tongue and dagger-shooting eyes,
I heard/felt/remembered a voice.
Emily, I Am your center.
And, oh. The spinning just stopped.
Maybe it was my subconscious, or a talking spider on my wall, or an incarnated I AM of power and mercy who loves my corebeing no matter how frantic I am. I don't know and I can't prove any of those answers to you. It wasn't still and wasn't small, but it was a voice.
But here I am.
Reminded.
Centered.
Breathing each breath with an unfamiliar smile on my face.
Loved.
New. I am a new creation.
And occasionally, I live like I am.
